I was thinking today about how much you could find out about someone by seeing a list of their top-visited websites. So here’s a slightly more fun list that gets at that – it’s the 1st result in my address bar for each letter of the alphabet. (Because Firefox thinks for you, each entry doesn’t necessarily correspond with the letter.) The full list after the jump.
A – http://www.addictinggames.com (surprising, don’t visit this much anymore)
E – voices.washingtonpost.com/ezra-klein
F – http://www.facebook.com (duh)
G – http://www.gmail.com (even more duh)
H – home.nyu.edu
I – http://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/datacenter/Default.aspx (I did a lot of research into higher education spending and NYU financial aid. This is a great data tool for that research.)
K – krugman.blogs.nytimes.com
L – http://www.littlegreenfootballs.com (hardly ever look at this these days)
N – http://www.nyulocal.com (duh)
P – http://www.powerlineblog.com (god I hate this blog but I force myself to read it)
R – rortybomb.wordpress.com
Y – yglesias.thinkprogress.org
I’m surprised at how much that signals about me. How does your list compare to mine? And does it represent you?
